My work centers on portrait and event photography, and I love the variety it brings, from intimate portrait sittings and milestone celebrations to graduation shoots and academic conferences. I'm based in and around downtown Madison, and I try to meet each session on its own terms, whether that's the quiet intimacy of a portrait sitting or the energy and unpredictability of a live event. That range didn't happen overnight. Years of shooting in print media taught me that a graduation photo and a conference gallery call for completely different instincts, even though they both come back to the same care for authenticity and craft. What matters most to me is understanding not just what you need captured, but why it means something to you, so the images feel genuine and hold up over time.
